Latest legislation changes by the government.

It looks like the Government have decided to ignore all the pleas of the biking industry and will allow European legislation to decide our driving test rules. The new bike test which will be far more difficult to pass and be much more expensive will come into effect in October 2008.
Many Training schools including 2Wheelskool have reached saturation point with the clamour of students wishing to acquire their licence before the new test arrives. We cannot now guarantee a test slot before the new test is implemented. |
The test fee is going to rise 30% from £60 to £80. The test venue will change and will not be local to Leeds or Bradford or even within West Yorkshire! Due to the increased overheads, especially spiralling fuel costs, training fees will rise sharply. For the future the government are also planning to raise the DAS age to 24 or 26 years and there will be a number of restrictions imposed on the size and power of what you can ride.
