Terry
Terry aka T
I’m a Bradford lad, born and bred. Born 1959 and started biking at 16 with a Suzuki AP50.
In those days you could pick one up at the showroom and ride it away without any training
Whatsoever. Although I wouldn’t recommend that today with the amount of traffic on the roads.
Went from two wheels to four after passing my car test at 19. I soon found that cars have their uses but don’t come close to the frill of a bike. So, got myself an old Yam RD 200 still on L plates as you could back then. I swapped the Yam for a Honda 250 Super Dream and then the law changed, you could no longer ride around on L plates for all eternity so I tuck and passed my bike test.
Wow, I thought I can ride what I want now, unfortunately not. It was around this time biking had to stop to make way for all thing’s family (house, wife and three little ones). This was to be a long time without a bike 25 years in fact. At the age of 49 I caught the bug again and got myself a little old Kwack GPZ 500 just to get back on two wheels again. I soon found I wanted something with a bit more grunt, so in 2012 I robbed the bank and got a Suzuki 1250 and 9 years later I’ve still got it.
I love biking so much that I though could I do more than just ride for fun, so when I can across a post on Facebook by 2Wheelskool offering to train people to be a CBT instructor I was over the moon.
I contacted Jen who put me in touch with Steve and Jack. I’ve now signed up and started my training and loving it.
The only down side has been this Covid thing, it has put a stop to everything. But I think good times are coming and I can’t wait to be part of the team.
Update: T is now a qualified down trained CBT instructor.
